About year ago – a conversation took place at the Design Council about an idea that could help schools to understand the value and relevance of design – one year later and the first Water Design challenge event was held at Bewley Waters.
The challenge is part of the Design Council Education Programme run By Lesley Morris and has several important objectives. To promote the value and relevance of design in society, to help to develop teaching practice, to connect designers with schools and to inspire young people.
John was dropped into the school for two sessions to help inspire the kids and to guide the teachers and children through the design process the ideas they came up with were amazing.
“I enjoyed getting involved in the Water Design Challenge with John and other students. I liked working with John as
I saw the backgroud behind designing and how this works. I really am looking forward to expanding my ideas so my group and I can achieve a lot more in our thought-out developments. Thank you.”
